I made a free alphabet picture game called "Match The Letter" for my 3-year-old son to play (I'm a developer). It's a pretty basic game for learning the ABC's. For free on iPad, iPhone and Android too.

My kids love the Little Cook and Preschool music on our iPad. They also love our TV Everywhere app I have through my employer DISH Network. All I needed was a Sling Adapter hooked to my receiver and the app was free to download. The kids can watch live TV from anywhere we are at. They have access to all our subscription channels and DVR. So when we are in the car or grocery store I can put on their favorite shows like Dora, and they stay occupied the whole time.
